Born in the Los Angeles area, Aaron was seven years old when he began mastering the martial arts. After years of dedication and training, he became the National Champion and remained a nationally ranked tournament fighter for years. A 9th degree Black Belt, Aaron proudly holds the current title, President of the United Fighting Arts Federation (U.F.A.F.), a worldwide organization of more than 3,000 black belts.
Since Aaron’s father Ray Norris fought and was severely wounded at the Battle of the Bulge, Aaron has always been a true Patriot. Aaron volunteered to serve his country by joining the U.S. Army at the young age of 17 years old. After Advanced Infantry Training he was specially chosen to train in the Army’s Non-Commission Officers Academy. He was chosen because of his leadership abilities. His rise in rank was fast and Aaron became s Sergeant E=5 in less than a year after joining the Army and was only 18 years old. His older brother Wieland joined the Army not long after Aaron. Both Aaron and his older brother Wieland served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam, unfortunately Wieland was killed in action saving his squad and was awarded the Silver Star for bravery.Aaron went on and served out his 3 years as a Sergeant finishing his military duty by commanding his own platoon on the DMZ in Korea.
Today Aaron is actively involved with the organizations “TAPS” and “Sons of the Flag”.
TAPS: Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors helps the families who have lost loved ones in combat, something Aaron knows a lot about. www.taps.org
“Sons Of The Flag”: Provides critical support to burn victims, working with Military Combat Soldiers burned by IED’s, First Responders as well as civilians who have survived burn injuries. www.sonsoftheflag.org
With his extensive background, Aaron became extremely influential in introducing the world to the film genre, appropriately called Action. Starting off his film and television career Aaron wrote and produced “Silent Rage”, “Lone Wolf McQuade”, and “Invasion U.S.A.”. From there, it was a natural move into the role of Director. His feature film directing credits include: “Braddock: Missing In Action III”, “Platoon Leader”, “Delta Force II”, “Hitman”, and “Hellbound.”
As his success continued to grow, Aaron went on to direct “Sidekicks”, “Top Dog”, and “Forest Warrior.” Always the entrepreneur, he ventured into international film distribution with his company Tanglewood Entertainment. Tanglewood produced and oversaw worldwide distribution of more than a dozen feature films.
